New Direct Flights to Stockholm, Bari, Madrid, Prague, Cologne, and the earlier announced Larnaca from Skopje International Airport

TAV Macedonia, TAV Airports subsidiary, the airport operator of Skopje International Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, is proud to announce exciting new direct routes to major European destinations: Stockholm (Sweden), Bari (Italy), Madrid (Spain), Prague (Czech Republic), Cologne (Germany), and the earlier announced Larnaca (Cyprus), operated by Wizz Air. These additions mark a significant step forward in enhancing air connectivity for Skopje Airport and its catchment area passengers.
With these new additions, Skopje International Airport continues to position itself as a growing regional hub, offering passengers a wider selection of direct flights to both leisure and business destinations. The new destinations also contribute to TAV Macedonia’s mission of facilitating mobility and accessibility while maintaining the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and passenger experience.

“These new routes demonstrate TAV Macedonia’s commitment to expanding connectivity and travel options. Securing destinations like Stockholm, Bari, Madrid, Prague, Cologne, as well as the earlier announced Larnaca —especially the new markets—requires long-term negotiations and close cooperation with airlines and the tourism sector. As an airport operator with a vision and strategy to make Skopje Airport a regional hub, together with the Government’s great support, and our incentives program, we tend to attract carriers, especially to launch flights to popular leisure destinations. These new routes open fresh opportunities for tourism, including summer vacations and city breaks, thus boosting sustainable traffic, and strengthening our presence on the European tourism map. Finally, such developments are increasing inbound tourism in the country from these routes, contributing to sustainable traffic growth.” – stated Nejat Kurt, TAV Macedonia General Manager.

The new routes from Skopje International Airport connect travelers to a variety of exciting destinations: Stockholm for Scandinavian culture, Bari as a gateway to Southern Italy and the Adriatic coast, Madrid as a key European business and leisure hub, Prague with its historic Central European charm, Cologne, lively city on the Rhine, known for its rich history, and vibrant culture, and Larnaca, a popular Mediterranean beach destination year-round.
Tickets are already on sale on Wizz Air’s website for Stockholm and Bari, each with 3 weekly frequencies, Madrid, with 3 weekly flights, Prague, with 2 weekly frequencies, and Larnaca, with 2 weekly frequencies. Flights to these new routes will be launched following the start of the winter season 2025/2026, i.e., late October, early November, and December, respectively, thus enabling Skopje Airport passengers to enjoy greater access to key cultural, economic, and tourism hubs across Europe, with Wizz Air as a low-cost and full-service carrier.
